Frequently Asked Questions

There are two main reasons for this: 1)The stream that you are trying to connect to do not have enough bandwidth to deliver the stream adequately or 2)Your Internet or Wi-Fi connection is inadequate. The solution to point 1 is to simply stop the stream and select a different one. The solution to point 2 is to either upgrade your internet connection or start using an Ethernet (wired) connection instead of a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.
No. We cannot guarantee the quality, durability, longevity or integrity of the streams. These streams originate with 3rd party entities and are completely out of our control or influence. Having said that, as long as you have a good quality broadband connection you will always experience a more than satisfactory streams. The vast majority of streams are good to great quality, many are HD quality. If a stream is not adequate or of a poor quality, there are many many more available, it’s just a matter of clicking on them.

There is a Netflix & Hulu app that can be downloaded from the Play Store and used to view your accounts.
You can still continue to use pay for services such as Netflix or Hulu. However you will soon find that these services are not needed as you can watch everything that they offer and everything that they do not for free.

Navigate to the “All App” section and locate V3 or V8 Settings Click Display > press UP/DOWN arrow buttons on your remote or keyboard to adjust the display to your TV > click back button on your remote control you are satisfied.
On your remote press the gear button > Scroll down to and Click Date & Time, Click Automatic Date & Time, or adjust manually.
When you find a TV series or HD movie that you want to save as a favorite you need to click C on your USB wireless keyboard or Menu button on your stock controller. This will bring up the menu and you will be able to click on “Save as a Favorite.” To access your favorites you will need to click on the star icon at the bottom left side of the Kodi home screen. Simply click on the star icon and a menu will slide out from the right side of the screen. Scroll over to that menu and choose the favorite you wish to view.

The remote controller that comes with your ISM V3 or ISM V8 Pro is designed to perform the basic features, but it is not ideal for navigating the Android operating system or fully utilizing Kodi Media Center. We recommend using a Wired or Wireless keyboard/mouse.

We sell various remote accessories that can be used with both ISM V3 and ISM V8 Pro. Please visit our Accessories Page on our website.

The main model that we recommend using is the i8 Mouse Pad. We suggest that you decide what type of USB device or controller that you would prefer using and purchase it. We do not offer support for outside USB devices, but 99% of all USB devices and controllers will work with the ISM v3 and ISM V8 Pro.

The AddOns that come pre-programmed on your ISM V3 and ISM V8 Pro. Each AddOn is managed and owned by a third party and has no reflection as to how our box performs. Some of the third party AddOns may experience slow buffering times, less than perfect quality or may go down from time to time. This is not a perfect system but it does help you save money on cable! Our biggest recommendation would be to become familiar with Kodi by going to Google and doing some research first. We will not refund any purchase due to the AddOns not performing correctly as there are over 1000 different repositories and AddOns available for your use. For more information regarding the different repositories or AddOns, please go to Google and search XBMC/KODI.
If you click on a stream source and see “No Stream Available” this means that the file you were trying to view is no longer available from this link. Try clicking on another stream source to view the video content you are trying to watch.
Absolutely not! All of the content and programs that come preloaded on the ISM v3 and ISM V8 Pro are completely free. We will never ask for monthly fees. But there are some subscription based Addons that we have installed for you if you wish to subscribe to those. Programs Like Netflix and Hulu still require a monthly subscription and must be paid current to access your accounts on our media centers.

The ISM v3 and the ISM v8 Pro can run one TV at a time. However due to its small size and ease of hooking it up it can be moved from TV to TV very easily.

Tip – If you connect an extra HDMI cord to your second TV you will only need to transfer the media center and the power cable to your second TV. This will save you the trouble of moving the HDMI cable each time you want to switch TV’s.

No. The laws state that Downloading, Possessing, distributing or profiting from copywrited material is illegal. When you are streaming a TV Show or movie you are not downloading it and are never in possesion of it. Once the TV Show or Movie is done streaming all of the data from that stream is gone from your unit.
Yes, Multiple ISM media centers can be used at one time off of the same internet connection. Please note that multiple media centers running at the same time will demand a faster internet connection. We recommend 8 to 10 Mbps per unit. So for 2 units we would recommend a 20 Mbps internet connection.

As your ISM media center relies on your internet connection to stream video content, it is very important that you have a reliable and fast internet connection.

Here is how to check and see how much internet is getting to your ISM media center.

Install Speedtest app from Google Playstore in Android . Go to All Apps on the main screen of your media center, Scroll down until you see the Speedtest app. Click on the speedtest app. Click begin test. Let the test run and see what speeds you are getting.

For optimal streaming you should have over 10,000 Kbps or 10 Mbps Download. Upload speed is not as important as Download speed.

If you are getting less then the recommended speed posted above here are some options.

Move your Wifi router closer to the ISM media center.
You can connect the ethernet to have the fastest and steady connections.
Reset your Internet Modem by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
Contact your internet provider if you are not getting close to the amount of internet speed that you are paying for.

Kodi runs scripts and performs updates while it is open. That is why it is very important to let Kodi close on its own. Clicking home or turning off your ISM media center while Kodi is running can cause Kodi to have errors and stop working. It is very important that you follow the procedure below when exiting Kodi.

1. Exit out of any video or addon that you are using.
2. On the home screen of Kodi slide through the menu items until you get to Quit. Click the OK button on your remote.
4. Wait until Kodi completely closes (This may take 1-45 seconds depending on if Kodi is performing any updates in the backround.)
5. Once Kodi has fully closed you will end up back on the home screen of your ISM media center.

Some of the Kodi Addons Navi X that is preinstalled does provide access to adult content, but we disable those playlist from being accessed. We implemented this to ensure that children do not gain access to this adult content. However we can not and do no have control over movies that of Rated R, TV Show that do have a more mature nature, live tv that provides mature and adult content that is not of XXX nature..
In General, a wired (Ethernet Cable) is always best because a direct connection does not suffer from any interference that Wi-Fi connections are subjected to. The speed of a direct cable connection is always faster than a Wi-Fi connection. If your ISP (Internet Service Provider ) placed your Broadband router in the same room as your TV then you can connect directly to your ISM media center via a cable. If your Broadband router is in another room or even another floor then you can use Wi-Fi . Depending on the strength of the signal will be a determining factor as to the quality of the signal. If your Wi-Fi signal is weak it may not connect to the media center. If this is the case we recommend purchasing a separate router connecting it to the main router provided by you ISP which can deliver a stronger signal to connect to the media center in another part of the house.
